Highlights/Schedule

1Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (Victoria Terminus)
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, previously known as Victoria Terminus, is a historic train station and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Designed in an elaborate Italian Gothic style, its construction began in 1878 near the old Bori Bunder railway station and was completed in 1887, commemorating the 50th year of Queen Victoria’s reign.
2Gandhi Museum
Mani Bhavan served as Mahatma Gandhi’s headquarters in Mumbai from 1917 to 1934. Owned by Gandhi’s friend Revashankar Jagjeevan Jhaveri, this house was the starting point for significant movements like Non-cooperation, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi, and Khilafat. It was here in 1917 that Gandhi began using the charkha (spinning wheel). Mani Bhavan is also closely linked to Gandhi's advocacy for Home Rule.
3Dhobi Ghat
Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat is an iconic open-air laundry in southern Mumbai, near Mahalaxmi railway station and accessible from the Jacob Circle monorail station. Established in 1890, it is where dhobis (washermen) clean clothes and linens from hotels and hospitals. The term "dhobi ghat" is widely used across India for any large-scale laundry facility. Inspired by this Mumbai landmark, similar dhobi ghats were constructed in Kolkata in 1902 and other parts of South Asia.
4Banganga Tank
Part of the Walkeshwar Temple complex on Malabar Hill, the Banganga Tank was originally built in 1127 AD by Lakshman Prabhu, a minister in the court of the Silhara kings of Thane. It was reconstructed in 1715 with funds donated by Rama Kamath. The main temple has since been rebuilt using reinforced concrete.
5Drive Past: Marine Drive / Queen’s Necklace
Marine Drive is a 3-kilometre-long promenade along Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road in Mumbai. This 'C'-shaped six-lane road follows the coastline of a natural bay. Known as the Queen’s Necklace, the street lights along Marine Drive resemble a string of pearls when viewed at night from an elevated point, giving it its nickname.
