Our Bazaars and Temples tour will take you to bylanes of the historic markets of south Mumbai.

This will give you an Idea where Mumbai Locals go for their wholesale shopping, We will also visit one of the first wholesale fabric markets on this tour. Here you will be mesmerised with the colours and Chaos of the area. We will be visiting Mumbai's Patron Goddess Mumbadevi where we get the name for our city Mumbai from.

Description

The wide streets and narrow alleyways are alive with activity. In front of colonial buildings and alongside temples and mosques, vendors shout from carts that sell everything from colourful birds and spicy snacks to flowers and Indian clothes.

Discover Mumbai’s bazaars and relish the essence of the city while interacting with local people. The Mumbai Market Tour lets you explore the colonial buildings, along with temples and mosques, and witness the vendors who shout from their stalls and carts to sell their commodities.

This Tour takes you to famous markets of Mumbai Including our first fruits and vegetables market which is named after our first Municipal commissioner Arthur Crowford and a cows shelter where you will be meeting more than 400 cows and our female guides will explain why cows are our mother goddess.

We pick you up from your hotel and proceed to the city’s oldest and largest wholesale market which is the Crawford market (If opted for the transportation)

The Iconic market for shopping scented candles, exotic fruits, pets, party wear stuff, and other accessories.

Mangaldas market

Which is the biggest wholesale fabric market in Crawford houses the best fabric shops and boutiques in town.

Zaweri Bazar

Walk through the famous Zaweri Bazar where 100s of shops sell Gold, Silver and diamond jewelleries. as well as precious and semi-precious stones.

Phool (Flower) Gully

Where you will see flower artists preparing the flower garlands for temples and marriage.

Mumba Devi Temple

The temple has a rich history, dating back to the 18th century where we get the name for our Mumbai.

The Start and End timing can be changed based on your location and traffic situations.

Cancellation Policy

We work on a 100% advance payment for the tour. If the payment is not done before the commencement of the tour, Tours By Her can take a call of not conducting the tour.

If the tour is cancelled within 5 days of the commencement of the tour: we will charge a 100% cancellation fee.

If the tour is cancelled within 6 to 10 days of the commencement of the tour: we will charge a 50% cancellation fee.

If the tour is cancelled 11 days before the commencement of the tour: there will be no retention.

Extras

If you are staying on the ship at the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal and need a pick-up from the port.

You should be meeting our guides outside the green gate. For any tours in Bandra & beyond, away from South Mumbai, if you take our transport, you will be charged a toll on actuals. This amount is to be paid in cash to the guide or the driver at the start of the tour.
